July's busy fingers

A spot of mending was done at our last meeting - well this sparkly piece couldn't be left in a dark corner any longer, could it?

Some intricate patchwork was also dug out to try to get it finished ...........

and a jumper was picked up again - what great stripey wool.

The finishing touches were made to the nose bag for the yarnbombed horse - those carrots peeping out at the top look good enough to eat!

The blanket had the hearts attached at the last minute - this decoration for the horse was inspired by Alice Through The Looking Glass.
A lot of measuring and re-measuring went into getting the balaclava for the horse just right - I hope he appreciated it!! We don't do this for just anyone, you know!

Horsing around....

Well it couldn't have been a better day on Saturday for the Rowntrees Park party - and all the yarnbomb decorations looked spectacular.

Didn't our efforts look grand, and we finished something!!

A bit of a dark horse, this one.

The main area that had been decorated by many different crafters looked fabulous. Take a look through the square window...

Some magic mushrooms - anyone for a trip?
Flower power....

Thanks to Sally and Deborah for all their work organising the yarnbombing - see their great write-up and photos of many of the hand-made items at http://hippystitch.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/york-yarnbombing-event-rowntree-park.html
